The DF95 Region 1 Championship Regatta will be held on April 6-7 in Newport at the Sail Newport facility on Fort Adams.

This is a DF95 class sanctioned regatta which will award points towards national ranking. To date Brad Read is the only ranked sailor from the seven states that make up Region 1. 

What does that mean:

REGISTRATION:

• The fee for the event per boat is $80.00, non-refundable. There are options to also join Newport Model Sailing Club - this is really meant for Newport locals, but all welcome 😀
• Registration will be limited to 55 entries.
• Entry form and fees must be submitted by 04/01/2024. After which the registration period
  is closed.
• Payment can made via on line registration at: https://www.NewportModelSailingClub.org
• The fee includes Saturday evening social with beer & wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres; and
  trophies to the Top 5 competitors
• The Organizing Authority shall announce the official entry list no later than 04/01/2024.

  • 2:00pm-5:00pm Check-in, Equipment Inspection, Practice.
• Saturday April 6
  • 8:00-10:00 AM Check-in, Equipment Inspection
  • 10:30 AM Skipper’s meeting
  • 11:00 AM First Warning Signal
  • No race to start after 5:00pm or at the PRO’s discretion.
    
• Sunday April 7
  • 10:00 AM Skipper’s meeting
  • 10:30 AM First Warning Signal
  • No race to start after 3:00 PM or at the PRO’s discretion
  • Awards presentation immediately following final race.
